Several of the presentations I attended were made by Amy Johnson Crow, who is the webmaster for the FGS (URL: http://www.fgs.org/2010conference/index.php ).
Don’t worry, I am NOT going to try to regurgitate all of the material that was covered. But as Amy was flashing images of web sites she found to illustrate good and bad web designs on the screen I found myself occasionally looking around the room at all of the people and wondering several things…
How were they were managing to keep their skill sets current in an arena that is increasingly becoming very complicated? Who will take over when they leave? How many of the web sites with information about meetings that took place several years ago were sites from organizations that no longer even exist?
