Brown Bag SIG

Brown Bag Special Interest Group

Purpose: The Brown Bag SIG is for genealogists who want to learn advanced methodology skills and techniques. The group studies best practices, including using the Genealogical Proof Standard. Certification and Accreditation credentialing procedures are sometimes discussed in relation to best practices, but you do not need this as a goal in order to join. The name Brown Baggers came about from scheduling the meetings before, after or in between other groups during a lunch or supper hour. Everyone may bring a snack or brown bag meal if they like. If you have genealogical best practices as your goal, we invite you to join us
